Pashislo

photo description

A friend said they had a slot machine they wanted me to work on. I said I'd give it a shot.
Turns out what they had is a Japanese Pashislo, sometimes call a skill stop machine here in the states.
Similar to a slot machine, except each reel is stopped by pressing the button under it.
This gives the illusion that you have some control over the game, but the computer still decides when to pay out.
The buttons didn't work on this one. Turns out a capacitor on the control board had shorted out and blown a fuse.
New capacitor and replace the burned lamps and back to the owner.
