When I got the race car, it came with an extension to the original VW oil filler, pointing directly at one of the roll hoop supports. (first picture)
Even with the extension removed, I still had to wedge a funnel under the support to get oil into the engine.
Rulebook says I can remove the alternator mount which is the curved portion above the oil filler.
A piece of aluminum into the lathe to drill, bore, and thread the hole for the extension, with a bevel for its o-ring, second picture.
Third picture: To the milling machine to drill mounting holes. Round off the corners with a file.
