About
Mr. Buttons, Shop Supervisor
My name is Bill. My training is in electronics repair, but the disposable world we live in
makes it impossible to earn a living that way. Most of my adult life was spent in medical
equipment repair and computer programming. I inherited my mechanical abilities and curiosity
from my father and both grandfathers. I can't claim expertice on any one item, but over the years
I've learned to run a lathe, a mill, weld, rebuild engines, etch glass, and program CNC machines.
I've worked with wood, metal, glass, and acrylic.
I think it's safe to say I have more hobbies than the law allows.
In 1736 Jacob Leupold, a German inventor, published the following to describe a "mechanic",
the term used before we called them "engineers":
This is me.
